Jeremiah 50:6

Verse: “My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray, turning them away on the mountains. From mountain to hill they have gone. They have forgotten their fold.

Insight: Jesus said that He came “to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10), and that He is “the good shepherd, (who) lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11) When the Lord is your shepherd (Psalm 23:1), you will not be lost or led astray, and there is no way that he will ever turn you away! (John 6:37) One of the very strong ways to stay in the Way, is for us to not “forget our fold”, as the prophet warns here in this verse. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Prayer: Father, thank you for sending Jesus as my good shepherd. I believe that He is able to, not only, keep me until the Day of His return, but is also, able to strengthen my faithfulness to the fold that You have placed me in. Thank you, Lord. Amen”
