Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron,

so a friend sharpens a friend.

Insight: We are not meant to do life alone, but instead in fellowship and in kinship with other believers. Rubbing two iron blades together provides the benefit of sharpening, allowing each blade to perform to its highest purpose. This scripture promises that same benefit to each of us when we choose to cultivate close relationships with other Christians, marked by honesty, grace and growth.

Prayer: Lord as we do life together, help us to cultivate relationships that would sharpen us so that we can live to our highest purpose, reaching the lost. Let honesty, grace, and growth be the anthems of our relationships. We give thanks for your ultimate sacrifice and perfect friendship. In Jesus name, Amen.
