Psalm 2:11

Verse: “Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.”

Isight: Serve with fear and rejoice with trembling, doesn’t sound very inviting or exciting! It reminds me of the relationship I had with my dad when I was young. I knew my dad would do anything for me and loved me. But I also had a healthy fear that he would bring discipline when I was out of alignment with our families rules and values. Looking back now as an adult, those moments have allowed me to be a mature and successful adult! This holds true with our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Prayer: Lord, I realize this morning that you hold the entire world in your hands. With just one command from you, the mountains would crumble. Jesus, in all of this you still see me. I am not lost to you and you care deeply about me. I am humbled and amazed that I am important to you. Today, help me to be reminded how great you are and as you hold the world, you also hold me. I love you Lord, amen.
