Verse: “For the Lord saw the bitter suffering of everyone in Israel, and there was no one in Israel, slave or free, to help them. And because the Lord had not said he would blot out the name of Israel completely, he used Jeroboam 2, the son of Jehoash, to save them.”
Insight: Even in the moments where life is as dark as it could be, God always gives us hope. No matter how small it might be. The Israelites had turned their back on God and the arrows of their hearts were towards themselves, only thinking of their own need. But even with that being true, God did not give them what they deserved. As dire as their situation was, Jesus brought hope. He is doing the same for you today!
Prayer: Jesus, I thank you that you never give up on us even when we might give up on ourselves. We often deserve punishment, and you give grace. Help us today to see the hope that you are bringing in our lives even in the small things. You never give up on us and there is always hope with you! In Jesus name, amen.
