Matthew 18:13-14

And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away. In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

Sometimes we can be pretty hard on ourselves. We can count ourselves out as worthy of God’s love, because of how badly we think we’ve messed up. But the heart of our heavenly Father is completely consumed with love for us. Knowing our propensity to sin, He still eagerly seeks after us, always willing to redeem what we’ve considered irredeemable. And He rejoices in our return to relationship with Him.

Lord I thank you that your love for me is greater than what I can even imagine. You’re not willing to give up on me. Reveal your love to me in new ways today, and show me how I can love others well. There’s not a single person in my life that’s too far from you to experience your forgiveness.
