Verse: Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Insight: Unfortunately, sometimes outsiders are more grateful than family members. We are part of the family of Christ; we are His body, we are the bride. The bridegroom is “joined” to us through the new covenant. Being saved from eternal separation should be reflected with an attitude of gratitude. When we are thankful, people around us will notice and will want to know about the Source of our joy. Our faith in Christ will make us well.
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for not being as grateful as I should be. Sometimes I tend to focus more on what I don’t have instead of what you’ve done for me. Help me develop a grateful heart so that I can radiate your love and hope to others. In Jesus name, Amen.
