1 John 2:8-11

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Insight: This section of verse really applies to all of us as followers of Jesus, in that it's speaking specifically to our view and feelings toward our fellow believers. Our brothers and sisters in Christ. I feel like it's too easy sometimes to get irritated or frustrated with our brothers and sisters in Christ. This set of verses helps keep me grounded. I know that when any relationships that I have fall apart or come under attack, it's my job to reconcile that relationship, and love my brothers and sisters in Christ, as He loves me. God shows us His grace every day by forgiving the sins we commit. I believe that as a follower of him, that it is my duty to extend that grace to the brothers and sisters in Christ that i have wronged, or have wronged me.

Prayer: Lord I ask that you give me the wisdom to see the relationships in my life that I need to reconcile. Lord I ask that you give me the strength to fix these broken relationship, and the grace to admit where I am in the wrong. Thank you for the people that you have sent into my life, and let me be a blessing to those around me.
