Hebrews 6:1-3

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do if God permits.

This scripture helps me understand that as a Christian I need to not become complacent with my walk with God. It becomes very easy to get into a routine when attending church or spending time with God. I want to be able to reflect on where I was last year with my walk of God and desire to be more spiritually mature.

Thank you God for reminding that you want me to continue to learn more and more about you. I thank you that your word is alive and active and can speak to me in unique ways each time I read it. Jesus I pray that I hear your voice more clearly the older that I get.
