1 Corinthians 15:10

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Insight: Paul was a hardworking Jewish leader, who believed the hard work he put into obeying the law of Moses and getting others to obey as well would bring about righteousness. He realized that all of his hard work would not make him righteous, but only the grace of God. We can do a lot of good things and work really hard, but only by accepting the grace of God will we be become righteous.

Prayer: Father, help me to accept Your grace in my life. It is Your love in my life that makes me righteous. May the things I do and the words I say come from a place of love for You, to worship You, not to earn Your love. Thank you for loving me as I am while calling me to an even greater relationship with you.
