Psalms 38:21

Do not abandon me, O Lord. Do not stand at a distance, my God. Come quickly to help me, O Lord my savior.

When we read this verse, we can be reminded that God is our ever-present help in time of need. Just like a parent who anticipates what their child needs before the little one realizes, so does our loving Father see our needs and is ready to answer our call to him. When we face any difficult situation, we must remember that God is right in the middle of our wondering and we can ask him to come quickly and meet us where we are.

Father, thank you for hearing me when I call out to you. Thank you for being close to us when we need you most. You are a loving Father that loves us. I will remember to always turn to you first in each circumstance today. I love you, Amen.
