Ezra 3:6

On the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord, though the foundation of the Lord’s temple had not yet been laid.

Insight: The Jews, newly released from captivity, didn't wait til every thing was in perfect order before they started worshipping the Lord.  Things were unfinished and messy and still they took time to worship. I think it's easy in our lives to choose to worship once a project is completed... once our marriage is in a better place, once our finances are in order, once we feel like it. But God calls us to worship even while the work is still happening.  Even when our marriage is struggling, worship. Even when our finances are a mess, worship.  Even while there's a ton to rebuild and restore, worship.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to worship you always.  Even when life doesn't look like I've envisioned. Even when there's so much left to rebuild. God, you are worthy in every season, and help me to take time to worship you at every step along the way.  Amen
