Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.
Insight: Our hearts are often divided. Part of us wants to "walk in [God's] truth;" part of us wants to define truth for ourselves. The author of this psalm isn't telling us to try harder to honor God. Instead, the psalmist invites us to follow his example by asking GOD to "unite my heart to fear your name."
Prayer: God, only you can truly transform me from the inside out. Just like the psalmist, I invite you to teach me and give me an undivided heart that honors you. Thank you for how you are at work in my life.
