2 Timothy 2:23-25

Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.

Insight: Conflict is an unavoidable part of relationships.  While conflict isn't always bad, some people seem to attract it more than others.  God doesn't want us to be wrapped up in unnecessary, fruitless arguments.  Instead, Paul says what marks a follower of Jesus should be kindness, patience, and gentleness in the face of differing opinions.

Prayer: God, give me wisdom this week in all my relationships.  May I be known for kindness, patience, and gentleness instead of wanting to pick a fight.
