When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the LORD of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Insight: Just as Jesus had compassion on the hurt and broken people that he saw in his day, we should also have that same kind of compassion towards the hurting people that are around us each today. There are many broken people but few people to help them! Lets focus on helping both the hurting as well as recruiting more "workers," as the need is so great.
Prayer: Jesus, help adjust my perspective to realize there are people that I am around daily that need to experience your undeserving love. I thank you that you are always there to help us as well as the classmates, coworkers, friends and family that we interact with on a daily basis! Amen
