Mark 1:20

"When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him."

INSIGHT: For these men, this day started like any other day... They woke up, did their typical morning routine, and then went out to work on the fishing boat.  But, instead of just going on with their normal day, they allowed themselves to be interrupted by the call of Jesus.  They didn't completely bury their heads in the tasks at hand, but rather they were paying attention enough to actually hear the call from Jesus.  It's so easy to get lost in our routines, our work, our rhythms, that, if we're not careful, we can miss the voice of God calling us.  Like James & John, let's be willing to be interrupted.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, would you help me to always be listening.  Help me to not be so lost in my own affairs that I forget to listen to Your voice.  Let me life my life willing and waiting to be interrupted by Your call. In Jesus Name, Amen.
