Acts 2:38-39

Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call.’”

Insight: These words are full of so much hope. How incredible is it that the promise of salvation was not just for a select group but for everyone - for all who are far off. That includes me and you. And the promise continues throughout all generations. These words are true no matter what seems to be going on in our world - salvation & the gift of the Holy Spirit is given to any and all who call on the name of Jesus. It was true then, it is true now, and it will be true for all tomorrows.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your gift of salvation and Your promise of the Holy Spirit. It is a gift that cannot be contained or stopped. There is no greater thing in all the world than finding forgiveness of sins and salvation in You.
