Exodus 6:28-30

"28 When the Lord spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29 he said to him, “I am the Lord! Tell Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, everything I am telling you.” 30 But Moses argued with the Lord, saying, “I can’t do it! I’m such a clumsy speaker! Why should Pharaoh listen to me?”

Insight: It can be easy to doubt ourselves when God asks us to do something. After all, we know our weaknesses and are often our own worst critics. But God sees us as we are and asks us to do things, not in our own strength, but in His. He promises to equip us and go before us when we obey him.

Prayer: Jesus, thank you for calling me and letting me be a part of what you’re doing on this earth. Sometimes I feel inadequate and intimidated by what you’ve asked me to do, but I give you my life – my mind, my gifts, and my skills, and ask that you would take them and use them for your glory.
